BARBARA Q. TOBIAS, PHD, MSN
Dr. Tobias is a clinical psychologist, former professor of nursing and clinical psychology, and founder of The Academy for Evolving Relationships. Her professional journey spans from GED to PhD, including careers as a registered nurse, professor at Howard University, and professor of clinical psychology at Argosy University.
She has served as a psychological examiner for the DC Superior Probate Court, built and maintained a thriving private practice for 11 years, and served as an Army contract psychologist supporting recruits during a period of elevated incidents of suicide. She created The Academy for Evolving Relationships, which has graduated over 100 participants. She lives in Maryland and continues to write, teach, and speak on relationships, trauma, and personal transformation.
